We are Rob and Joyce Stevenson, owners of The ArtCardShop and Thistle Dance Publishing Inc. The ArtCardShop is the retail division of Thistle Dance Publishing, a company which reproduces contemporary fine art images by Canadian artists on greeting cards and related stationery products. At present, ArtCardShop offers Thistle Dance products only.
Thistle Dance Publishing was started in 1999 with the belief that it was time to introduce some fresh, new, contemporary fine art images into the art card market, a market which, for the most part, offers images by internationally known artists. Our thinking was that consumers might like to discover artists whose work may be unknown outside of their region. Our first product line featured watercolour images by Carol Hoorn Fraser. It has since grown to include images by thirty-three artists.
We invite you to browse through the ArtCardShop and enjoy the range of images we have to offer. From serene gold leaf paintings to woodblock prints, from beautiful landscapes in oil to riotously colourful paintings on silk, we offer plenty to satisfy a variety of tastes.
